Cycle Service Nordic was founded in 1985 under the name Dan Agentur by Svend Møller and Ulla Pedersen. At that time, Dan Agentur was a mere sales agency company. In the 1990s, its collaboration with SRAM intensified and it became the foundation of the company.
In 2009, Dan Agentur gradually started to enter the Swedish market and in 2011, the company took over the distribution and service management of SRAM in the other Nordic countries.
In order to suit this new regional approach, the name Dan Agentur was changed to Cycle Service Nordic. Several new brands were added and the company expanded continuously.
In 2015, Cycle Service Nordic was acquired by the Accell Group, which is one of the major players in the global bicycle industry.
During the last couple of years, the brand portfolio of Cycle Service Nordic has increased strategically to offer its customers a broad assortment. Major brands such as Muc-Off, Fi'zi:k, Crankbrothers, Michelin, Schwalbe, MET and LOOK have been added. Furthermore, XLC, which is the exclusive brand for bicycle parts and accessories of Accell, is developing rapidly and now offers approx. 3,500 item numbers in the mid to high-quality segment at competitive prices.
Additional parts and accessories (P&A) companies were added to the Accell Group over the years and Cycle Service Nordic is now one of five Accell P&A companies, which make up the centralized P&A organization of Accell Bike Parts.
The other companies are Wiener Bike Parts in Germany, Juncker Bike Parts in the Netherlands, Comet in Spain and Raleigh in England. These five companies cover the entire European market.
